The Municipal Library of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer offers a large choice of books (more than 17,000) and digital media (600 CDs and 200 DVDs), responding to its initial mission: promote public reading.
The multimedia-library has currently the scope of a major cultural place at the cutting edge of innovation thanks to its spacious premises harmoniously reorganized. Thus, its digital space has 4 consultation stations available and linked up to Internet, 10 digital tablets, 3 music listening tablets, etc. Its web portal offers a platform for IT lessons and an online catalogue, accessible via a reader account.
The Library staff is collaborating with teachers and is destined to welcome school public committed to foster and maintain the custom and the pleasure to read for children and teenagers, to learn and visit libraries their whole life.
